My
Story

I have always loved being creative in any way possible from a young age and incorporated photography into much my artwork advancing into adulthood. I love colour and stepping ‘outside of the box’.
Photography is an art form and I feel there shouldn’t be any rules to practicing it. I like to be free to express myself or a project through my images in any genre or technique I feel best represents the story I want to tell.

Photography has been a huge part of my life growing up, from taking photos of family and friends with disposable cameras to expanding my hobby into a career in my late 20’s.

I have worked with many families and businesses, creating precious memories and professional portfolios for marketing and business purposes, and I have always had a passion to be experimental with my work also.

I love to experiment with different techniques and processes in my practice for my personal projects, whether that be in a digital or an analogue format, but still, keeping true to the story I am trying to tell with my photography, by choosing the best way to represent the narrative in a unique but authentic way.

I enjoy being ‘hands on’ with my work by creating books, zines and prints of my finished projects. Living in a digital world is fantastic but I often fear having the technology to create at the touch of a button, will make us loose the joy of substance. Having a tangible piece of work to hold and admire, can bring a sense of nostalgia or invoke feelings and emotions a digital image otherwise can not.

As well as creating beautiful pieces of art through my photography, I love working with people in an engaging way. Creating work with the participant or for them, is a great way for me to push my personal limits of what I can create, forcing me to step out of my comfort zone, which can often lead to great discoveries.

I feel it is a privilege to be able to tell someone’s story through my imagery and an honour to be trusted to do so.

I hope to continue to work with people, organisations and galleries producing work that will ultimately have a positive impact on the world. Showcasing to the public the power of photography.
