TREELIDOSCOPE

The Poetry
of Trees
Trees much like a Kaleidoscopes can symbolise ever changing and endless possibilities contained in the human experience.
Trees present differently depending on the time of year, time of day, or angle they are viewed, and we may see things in some trees that another individual may not.
As we grow older do we see trees differently and lose the wonder that trees once gave us in our child-like state?
Trees are a thing of beauty, but if experienced after dark, can often make us feel unnerved. The sounds they create with assistance from the wind, shadows they cast from intermittent light can make our imaginations run wild.

This particular set of images was created for The Atkinson's Poetry of Trees and exhibited in 2023, and is currently being exhibited in the 1st Edition of Chester Photo Festival, 9th -22nd May 2025 at the main venue: Castlefield Gallery New Art Spaces, Grosvenor Shopping Centre, Unit 12, CH41 1ED.
