Home

Home is a photographic reflection on belonging, memory and the quiet details that shape a life.
Although rooted in the house I grew up in and my current family home, the work is less about a particular place and more about the people who have filled it, my parents, my children and the generations of family moments held within its walls.

This series focuses on the small, familiar gestures of home: shoes by the door, coats waiting to be worn, pictures on the wall, a finished dinner plate, cozy socks and tender moments shared across time.

These everyday fragments remind me that home isn’t defined by location; it’s created by the people who surround us and the love that lingers in the ordinary.

Working in black and white, a big shift from my usual colourful approach, allowed me to distil these scenes to their emotional core. Stripped of colour, the images become quieter, more intimate and rooted in feeling rather than place.

Home is my invitation to pause, to notice and to remember that the little things, the ones we often overlook, are what make a home truly ours.

What 'Home'
means to me

The Virtual Exhibition

This work is featured in the Women in Arts Network Global Virtual Exhibition.

A showcase bringing together artists from around the world to reflect on the theme Home.

The virtual format creates a shared space where these deeply personal interpretations can meet, overlap and resonate across borders. Being part of this exhibition allows my piece, rooted in my own family history, to sit alongside other expressions of home, connection and belonging.

Together, these works highlight the universal truth that home is not simply a physical space, but an emotional landscape shaped by relationships, memory and care.
